Gazpromneft – Lubricants to supply marine oils for Sovcomflot’s new Arctic tanker
Gazpromneft - Lubricants as part of its long-term cooperation with Sovcomflot completed its first oil filling for the marine equipment of Arctic tanker Mikhail Lazarev. The first supplies of engine and auxiliary lubricants were delievered during vessel’s construction phase.
Engine oils produced by Gazpromneft – Lubricants well regulate viscosity under high operating temperatures, increased alkalinity level prevents the engine’s corrosive wear. An optimal balance of detergent and dispersing additives ensures reliable protection for machinery and extends equipment’s life. Hydraulic, gear oils and greases, including synthetic ones, demonstrate high efficiency at extremely low temperatures when transporting goods along the Northern Sea Route.
Roman Miroshnichenko, Head of Gazprom Neft’s marine lubricants business:
“The reliability of ship mechanisms performance largely depends on the quality of lubricants. Close cooperation of technical services allowed us to develop optimal solutions that meet the requirements of Arctic climate. Engine oils are selected in consideration with operating modes for both high- and low-sulfur fuel, including fuel with a sulfur content of <0.5%. Oils and lubricants for deck mechanisms retain their properties and provide reliable protection at temperatures up to -48 ºС.”
